This Memorial Day weekend I’ll be at the Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood for the annual Art Outside event. Friday 5-10pm, Saturday 10-10pm, and Sunday 12-4pm. I can’t wait to showcase fresh work from my kilns and chat about it with you.
Making teapots can be a lot of fun. This is what I discovered after ending an unintentional teapot hiatus. Some of my students at Krueger Pottery were curious about teapots, so I started all of these in class. After realizing they could be more than just demonstration work, I carefully took them home to the studio and just finished them up today. They are made from red, mid-fire clay, and are coated with a couple different types of porcelain slip. To be fired soon…
Jon McMillan and Erica Iman put together a Southern Illinois University Edwardsville alumni show for NCECA this year in Kansas City! A reception is being held Wednesday, March 16th, 8:30 – 11:00pm at the Morton Ballroom, 3936 Main St. Kansas City, MO 64111. I will be showing one of my concrete, wood, metal and ceramic sculptures. See you there!
Colleen at Garlic Whisk sent me this lovely photo of some of my plates in action. Check out her wonderful photos and recipes!
